I'm not really sure how all this works but while I'm in this box, I will keep typing. There are only twenty days until this play opens (and closes) but what is more important is that there are fewer days of rehearsal. This week, we will only rehearse on Wednesday, Thursday being Thanksgiving. Wednesday, we will rehearse from beginning to end with stopping. Next week, we will have to rehearse every day: we need all of the time we can get. The sets still need to be made: maybe I can work on those tomorrow, no, not tomorrow, maybe wednesday or thursday, no, not thursday. Hmmmm.
Opening (and closing) day is December 9th. Saturday, December 8th, is VIP session (the play with a small audience). December 6th is Dress rehearsal. So, we need a lot of work. The sets need to be built, dresses need to be sewn, costumes need to be rented, a lot of work on lines and still some blocking, and when do I see some lighting and sound?
Food for thought: music, let's see. Breath of Heaven - okay with this, Linda. Mary, Did You know, practice again. Mr. Santa, band members and children, need help.. Agnus Dei, practice with Margaret and Linda. White Christmas, Wright and Suzy. Sleigh Ride, practice with kids??
Grown-up Christmas List, probably drop. Blue Christmas, Karen and Charlie Moore, need practice. Heirlooms, okay with this, Margaret Naylor. I'll Be Home For Christmas, Suzy, let me hear... 'Till The Season Comes Round Again, okay with this, Linda (need to do with harmony) Shenandoah, Margaret.
