Theater's creed

I wanted to post this so I could access it whereever I was:

Theatre’s Creed

We come together in this place with open heart and open mind.
The bond of the love of theatre and the wish to share this art.
To king and player alike may we join together and
make beauty on this stage tonight.

Can you draw a tree?

I know only God can make a tree, however, Crystal does a really good job of drawing one! She came to the church (after service with our brand new pastor, and a meeting afterwards) and with charcol and rough pencil sketch (by me) created the outdoor scene for the play.

Tomorrow I paint.

The cabin

Saturday. Suzy had said that some kids from Choctah were coming in to "do" the sets today at 9:30.

They showed up with Mr. Rush, the man-in-charge. Wow.

We have a cabin. It really looks good.

I don't know how to thank everyone. Suzy, the kids, (especially the one who ruined her white pants with black paint!), Mr Rush.

The outside scene will be done on Sunday by Crystal...

Hell week

Well, finally. We went through "hell week". I had seen that term and had tooo many other things to be concerned about - after all, since this was a play being produced in a church, we would not have that problem, right?

Wrong.

Yes, we managed to get through it and what doesn't kill you...

Wednesday was not a wonderful day/night - let's leave it at that (I didn't know that I was capable of the thoughts I had.) Hmmm

Thursday was much better.

Too many things still to be done. The flats are blank.
